WDC Rotary Club Meeting Minutes 2/14/19 We were led in prayer and pledge by Dave Rosacker We had 17 members present. We also welcomed 5 members of the Omaha Rotary Club as our special guests. Treasurer’s report: $1,792.13 Member Moment: Roger Bettmann shared his story with the club. His brother’s experience with eating crabapples and climbing a tree will be burned in our collective memories forever. Announcements/discussion: - Jim will be finding out if there are any students from Elkhorn or DC West that are planning to attend The Rotary Youth Leadership conference and the club will sponsor if necessary.
- Tod said that the scholarship applications will be getting distributed via email for review soon and actually were emailed while I am writing this.
- The Rotary Scholarship Golf Outing is June 17th. Hole sponsors are a major part in the fundraising effort. It’s never too early to solicit.
Presentation: Jim introduced SSG Johnathon Weinmaster and MSG Maren Stewart. They offered a very informative look into the Army National Guard and explained the important role that the Guard plays here in Nebraska.
