The Rotary Club in Urbana, Maryland implemented a "Youth Summit," where they organized young volunteers to rescue uneaten school cafeteria food and compost waste. The students advocated with school leaders and state lawmakers to support a Lunch Out of Landfills initiative. This project gave students skills and confidence to push for change in their communities. Way to go Rotary!
