WDC Rotary Club Meeting Minutes 9/13/18 We were led in prayer and pledge by Dave Rosacker We had 20 members present. No guests today. Treasurer’s report: $5,280.10 Announcements/discussion: - Doug Christensen, proud native of Wausau, brought us our “member moment”.Doug shared with the club his career highlights including his service to the citizens of Nebraska as a State Senator.Great job Doug!
- The Lunch Bunch meeting went well last week.Thanks Jim T. for continuing to organize this additional opportunity for club members to get together.
- A reminder that the All-Metro area Rotary Luncheon meeting will be held on Thursday October 4th at Anthony’s, Cost is $25.See the note on this page for more information.
- Elkhorn Public Schools Foundation will have the dedication and ribbon cutting for their beautiful new building on Thursday, October 11th at 5:30. WDC members are welcome to attend.
- On September 20th, we will be joined by members of the Omaha Morning Rotary Club.We’ll want to remember to set up additional tables and chairs.
- On October 11th, the new District Governor, Julie O’Hara will be in attendance.
- Neil collected several fines for offenses of various degrees.
Presentation: Jim introduced his long-time friend, Rob King of Valley. Rob shared pictures and told us all about his recent trip to Tanzania in Africa. His travels included a lot of information about the simplicity of life there. The club thanks Rob for a very interesting presentation! Next meeting speaker (9/20): Jonathan Robitaille of the FBI. If you are not there, it will seem suspicious. |
