Greetings Rotarians! After two weeks in Arizona in the sunshine and 70-degree temperatures (and Zooming in the dark) we returned home to 11" of snow ... typical Nebraska weather! Our scheduled speaker for Thursday is Jim Ewoldt, manager of the 156th & Maple Street Hy-Vee. Because of COVID issues with suppliers and staff, his schedule fluctuates every day ... hopefully he'll still be able to join us. The District President's recently held our January meeting and we were reminded that it's time for each Rotary club to select officers for the next Rotary year (starting in July). The annual District conference will be held in July ... it's being delayed in hopes that we can meet in person. Please consider volunteering to lead our club in 2021-22 ... it's more fun than work when everyone pitches in and helps! Thanks to Rolly for again coordinating our guest speaker, David Wells, from STRATCOM. His videos and slides were very informative and showed how important the STRATCOM mission is to world peace and to the Omaha area economy. When COVID conditions permit, maybe we can take a Rotary "field trip" for one of our meetings and see the new HQs facility in person! See you Thursday! Tod |
