President's Message
Greeting Rotarians!

It was nice to have such a good turnout at last week's meeting.  After several months of focusing primarily on our annual golf outing, we can again focus on community volunteering for such activities as DC West's Food Basket program.  This week, our guest will be Scott Keep, Assistant District Governor.  Hope that everyone can participate in person!  Thanks ... see you Thursday!  Tod

Meeting Minutes (August 19th)

  • September 9th: Larry Bock (Former Superintendent of Blair Public Schools and Major League Baseball Scout)

Old/New Business: Back-Pack donation of $400 made to COPE ... Jim previously provided examples to the club on August 12th.
Social Events:  TBD ... Date/location for a WDC Rotary social gathering was discussed ... suggestions are needed. The Ashland Rotary Club recently had an event at the Glacial Till Winery (Ashland) ... they are willing to help us coordinate, if we are interested.
Fines (Neil): Numerous fines were collected ... some were designated to go towards the new projector
Speaker of the Day: Our "guest" speaker was President Tod, who shared photos and stories about their recent trip to Colorado, highlighting info about the Rocky Mountain National Park and the 2020 Colorado forest fires (2nd worse in Colorado history).  Topping off their trip was a stop at Memorial Stadium where he and Lorraine (and 90,000 of their closest friends) enjoyed the Garth Brooks concert!

Our club recently donated to the COPE (Christian Outreach Program of Elkhorn) school back pack program.
