The new Rotary Year began July 1^st, and I am proud to be your President for the 2024/25 year. A big thank you to the Club Officers for sticking around to help me in this transition. Please don't hesitate to offer advice, being a "rookie" I can use all the help I can get! 

 

The Club dues for 2024/2025 remain the same as last year at $220, membership renewals are due now, so please bring a check to Rotary this Thursday or mail it to P.O. Box 265, Elkhorn, NE. 68022, please make sure you put “dues” in the notes section of your check. Thank you for your continued membership!!

 

The 2024/2025 Rotary District Grant has been approved to purchase $3,750 worth of ground beef to be handed out at one of the food pantry days at DC West School. District Rotary will make a direct deposit of $2,250 into our grant account sometime after July 1^st, we cannot spend the funds until we match $1,500 of that grant. We need to determine how to match those funds so please be ready to share your ideas.

 

This week, Wednesday, July 10th we will be handing out food at DC West Elementary at 3:45.

 

 

July 11^th – John Bacus, Nebraska Baseball Hall of Fame inductee – Larry Bock will provide lunch.

 

July 18^th – Nebraska Diaper Bank- Rolly Kleeman has volunteered to bring lunch..

 

July 25^th – Scholarship Golf week, no meeting.

 

August 1st - Need speaker, no lunch host yet.

 

A week from Monday: The Annual Rotary Scholarship Golf Outing is scheduled for Monday, July 22^nd at The Pines Country Club in Valley. This is a great opportunity to help raise money to support 4 - $1,500 scholarships for area high school seniors, but also an opportunity to play at the now private, Pines Country Club!! Please provide your team fees and door prizes to Mike Ough as soon as possible.
