President's Message

Greetings Rotarians,

Thanks again to everyone that contributed to our Polio Awareness fund last week.  It's important that we continue to focus on curing this disease, demonstrating that Rotary is a world leader in healthcare advocacy.

I hope that everyone had the opportunity to exercise your right to vote on Election Day ... the right to vote is an American tradition that closely follows a couple of Rotary's guiding fundamentals ... "Is it fair to all and will it build goodwill and better friendships"?

This week, our guest speaker will be John Fech, horticulturist with the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and certified arborist with the International Society of Arboriculture. John has authored 2 books and over 200 trade journal articles, focusing on effective landscape maintenance techniques, water conservation, diagnosing turf and ornamental problems and encouraging bilingual communication in the green industry. He also conducts over 100 television and radio appearances each year.  Bring your questions on Thursday ... it's always a fun day when John visits our club!

Tod
