WDC Rotary's in-person 7:00 AM meeting was held on August 6th, with 12 members in attendance and Judy Ackland joining us via ZOOM.
President Tod welcomed everyone to Common Ground, Dave again provided our Opening Prayer and all joined in the Pledge of Allegiance. Our weekly "round-robin" discussion enabled all new in-person members to share their personal update of activities since they were last able to join us
Treasurer's Report: Account balance is $15,948.53. The BIKE fund balance is $320, plus a new $100 commitment
Membership / Scholarships: College info has been received from Graci Rittenhouse but an actual invoice needs to be received and processed
Back-Pack Donation: $300 has been authorized for the annual "Backpack" fund raiser and Jim Tomanek is coordinating the purchase and delivery of the backpacks
Bike Grant: A written price quote of $1,992.48 has been received from Volcanic Bikes and Gail has been authorized to finalize the purchase. Contact Gail to donate (

Golf Outing: Mike is finalizing the golf outing finances ... waiting for a final bill from The Pines. Net profit of over $5,500 is expected, after expenses
Awards / Public Relations: WDC Rotary Beef/Flood Relief award from District 5650 needs to be included in a future edition of the Post-Gazette ... volunteers are needed to help with this process
Meeting Presentation: General Discussion ... topics for future meetings / speakers was discussed (Elkhorn Schools start-up procedures, challenges, etc. was suggested)
Fines: Neil was back in full-form and collected numerous fines!
Other Business: Jim Tomanek reported that COPE will try to be back in business, starting on August 11th
