Last Friday, I received an email from our District Governor, Julie O’Hara. She wanted to report that globally, Rotary membership has increased by almost 11,400 new members. Locally, our district was the only district in Zone 28 to increase membership. We have 35 new Rotarians in our district! She says, “Congratulations to us! This shows that there is truly pride and passion in what we are doing and that we aren’t afraid to recruit and teach our fellow friends and family members all there is to know about Rotary.”

We discussed the Foundation’s matching grant program available for club service projects. COPE was suggested as a potential project. The club will continue to look into this.
Jim reported that the Lunch Bunch had another successful monthly get together.
The Rotary Scholarship Golf Outing is June 17th. That’s just 5 short months away!

Mike Ough entertained us with a presentation from his summer trip to Arizona. Looked like it had its’ ups and downs (think about it…). He also made everyone hungry for pie and a lively discuission ensued about favorite pie establishments across the nation.
