Below are the minutes from last week's meeting (July 16th) ZOOM meeting was conducted on July 16th (11:30 AM), with 8 members participating. President Tod opened the meeting with a brief discussion of the agenda, Roger provided our opening Prayer and Tod again led us in the Pledge of Allegiance Treasurer's Report: Account balance is $13,670.90. District 5650 semi-annual dues of $902.20 are to be paid by the end of July Membership: Members are encouraged to pursue leads for new members (visit with all of your golf friends!) Scholarships: Jim has hand-delivered scholarship certificates to our three scholarship recipients (photos were shared) Public Relations: Jim will provide a summary of our Beef Grant info for publishing in the Post Gazette Bike Grant: Gail is coordinating final details with the bike manufacturer and OPD officials and has initiated a "challenge" donation of $300. WDC Rotary Club members are encouraged to contribute so that we can proceed with the actual purchase of the bike ($1,000 minimum needed) Golf Outing: 13 teams are confirmed and hole sponsors continue to be pursued. Thanks again to all of our volunteers for assisting with our golf outing activities Awards: COPE Beef project, Rotary Bike project, COPE computer and Western Douglas County Flood Relief efforts will be submitted for Rotary award recognition. Volunteers are needed to assist with this process District Rotary Annual Conference will be July 25th (via ZOOM). Judy and Tod will both try to participate. Next regular ZOOM meeting to be determined. Hopefully we will be "socially distancing" in our regular meeting room at Common Ground (7:00 AM on July 30th). ZOOM tele-broadcast will be tried for those not able to attend in person ... more details to follow. |
