Club Member Mary Carstens introduced Lizzy Cunningham and Pastor Kyle Nelson at our vocational visit on March 21. Lizzy told us about about Micah's Closet.
Our club met first at the United Methodist Church. A special thank you to club members Cindy Brummond, Mary Carstens, & George Burcum for the coffee and yummy goodies!
Lizzy explained their missions include the United Methodist Church, Haven House, WIC, Community Service, Building Blocks, victims of house fires, Foster Care families, Coat Closet, Beanie Baby Drive, and the Humane Society. Lizzy told about their community involvement including a coat walk, craft night, WSC artists and fashion and design.
The clothes are neatly organized. Lizzy noted they have made many recent improvements to the building and will have a new shed in the future. The store has volunteers plus get additional help from others including the Wayne High School special education class, WSC construction majors and fashion merchandising students.
