Tara Hassler, who is a member of our Rotary Club, introduced her husband, Mike Hassler, who told us about the right brain/left brain at our club meeting on July 18.  Mike has taught and coached at Wakefield for 13+ years.

Mike noted the left brain: responds to verbal instructions, problem solves sequentially, is structured, prefers multiple choice tests, controls his/her feelings, and is less expressive among many characteristics.

In contrast the right brain: responds to demonstrated instructions, problem solves with feeling and intiution, is fluid and spontaneous, prefers drawing and manipulating objects, prefers open ended questions, and is free with his/her feelings, among many characteristics.  Mike has assisted many students, as well as adults, with the skills of drawing. His "before" and "after" pictures were amazing!

This is one of many projects his students participate in.  What a great display in the Wakefield Legion Hall.
