BOB'S BLURB ABOUT BOBS
BOB LUDLUM
         
This meeting of the Northwest Omaha Rotary Club honors BOB LUDLUM, novelist.
 
Robert Ludlum was born May 25, 1927 in New York City. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and graduated from Wesleyan University in Connecticut with a degree in drama. He worked as an actor and producer of theatrical productions in New Jersey before getting his first novel published in 1971.
 
Almost all of his works are thrillers. The protagonist is usually a single man or a small group battling interests within a government, military organization or global corporation. His widest known creation is Jason Bourne.
 
Bob Ludlum died in 2001.

You are invited to attend an after hours 'Rock-a-Hula President's Party' hosted by Mary Bernier, Suburban Rotary President and Bob Bernier, Northwest Rotary President and John Hoich, Suburban Rotary. The event will be held September 25, 2020 from 5:00-9:00 p.m. This party celebrates the Rotary International Convention  that Mary, Bob and John could not attend due to Covid-19. The convention was scheduled to be held in Hawaii. The party will be held at the John Hoich residence at 5410 North 279th Street in Valley, Nebraska. Adult and general beverages along with Hawaiian snacks and fun will be available. A food truck will be there for those who want a meal. See flyer below.

IN-PERSON MEETINGS THE 4th TUESDAY OF THE MONTH
In-person meetings are being held the 4th Tuesday of each month at the West Omaha Masonic Center located at 2424 South 135th Avenue. Members can choose to attend the in-person meeting on the 4th Tuesday or continue to join the meeting on Zoom. The other Tuesday meeting dates of the month will be Zoom only meetings. 
 
Reservations are needed for the in-person meetings. Please email Vickie at nwrotary@cox.net if you plan to attend the in-person meeting for room setup preparation. You will need to let Vickie know if you are making a reservation for No Lunch or for Lunch. If having lunch your choice of turkey, ham or beef for the Box Lunch order is needed by 10:00 a.m. on Monday before the in-person meeting. You can pay at the Online Store found on the club website or pay with a credit card at the meeting. If you choose the No Lunch option you are welcome to bring in your own lunch. At present the Lunch cost is $15 and No Lunch is $5 and we are asking members to please donate $5.00 when attending the online Zoom meeting.
 
You can also pay for Fines, Donations and Good News at the Online Store .
 
We hope you join us at the West Omaha Masonic Center or on Zoom for our club meetings. Please review the Northwest Rotary Meeting Safety Guidelines. These guidelines were developed for the safety of our members and guests when attending the in-person meetings. See Safety Guidelines below.
