There will be no morning Rotary meeting this week Tuesday, instead members and guests are invited to join us at our After-Hours Event hosted by Rotarian, Sarah Wedebrand at her lovely home.
We will be back with our normal morning meeting Tuesday, May 5th.
Join us for a casual evening at Sarah Wedebrand’s downtown home at 702 Hickory St, Omaha, NE 68108 on Monday, April 28. Stop by anytime between 5–7 PM for good conversation, a chance to see downtown Omaha living, and a meet-and-greet with her dog, Wade!
Beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic), snacks, and Orsi’s pizza will be provided.
Street parking is available, and guests may enter through the front door or the back door located behind the house.
It is time to get your project ideas together and select a project for matching grants! The District will match club funds 1 to 1 for 2026-27 District Grant Projects.
Rotary District 5650 Rotarians—Welcome to April! “No winter lasts forever; no spring skips its turn. April is a promise that May is bound to keep, and we know it.” Having grown up on a farm and ranch, I think this quote by Hal Borland, writer, journalist, and naturalist, born May 14th, 1900, in Sterling, Nebraska, speaks to the seasonal transition that spring represents for hope and renewal as we move toward May.
The below is a message from District Governor, Robert Rapp.
You may be aware of the wildfires currently burning in Western Nebraska located in Rotary District 5630. A real tragedy affecting many communities, farmers and livestock producers.
One way Rotary District 5630 Rotarians are helping is by volunteering time and monies to Hot Meals USA out of Kearney, Nebraska. Hot Meals USA is the nonprofit 501(c)(3) group that helped serve meals to our communities after the April 2024 tornadoes.
This is completely voluntary, but one way we can help is donate to Hot Meals USA. I am including the link. PDG, Roxy Orr's brother is a Rotarian in Rotary District 5630 and indicated that there is a need for donations to Hot Meals USA to help after she spoke with him.
We are sharing the Chair of the Day schedule for our weekly Omaha Morning Rotary meetings. This role includes welcoming the speaker, making introductions, and helping the meeting flow smoothly. Please review the schedule and note your assigned date. If you are not able to serve on your date, please arrange a swap with another member and notify the Program Committee.
Thank you for helping us keep our meetings organized, engaging, and a reflection of the strong fellowship in our club.
We are proud to recognize our dedicated Rotarians who have achieved perfect attendance for the 2024–2025 year! Your commitment to showing up, participating, and contributing strengthens the vibrancy of our Rotary community.
Perfect attendance reflects not just consistency, but also dedication to the values and mission of Rotary — service, fellowship, and making a positive impact in our community and beyond.
👏 Let’s give a big round of applause to all our members who reached this milestone — your reliability and engagement are truly inspiring!

Good morning, and welcome to the Omaha Morning Rotary Club.
We are a community of professionals united by one simple belief — that we can do more together than apart. Each week we gather not just to share a meal, but to share ideas, build friendships, and take action on behalf of our community here in Omaha.
Service is at the core of everything we do. Whether through local projects or global initiatives, our members show up ready to make a difference. But just as important is the fellowship — the relationships built here last a lifetime.
If you're considering joining us, I'd love to have you at our table.
