Western Nebraska Wildfires - Voluntary Response
The below is a message from District Governor, Robert Rapp.

You may be aware of the wildfires currently burning in Western Nebraska located in Rotary District 5630. A real tragedy affecting many communities, farmers and livestock producers.

One way Rotary District 5630 Rotarians are helping is by volunteering time and monies to Hot Meals USA out of Kearney, Nebraska.  Hot Meals USA is the nonprofit 501(c)(3) group that helped serve meals to our communities after the April 2024 tornadoes.

This is completely voluntary, but one way we can help is donate to Hot Meals USA. I am including the link.  PDG, Roxy Orr's brother is a Rotarian in Rotary District 5630 and indicated that there is a need for donations to Hot Meals USA to help after she spoke with him.

Many of your communities may be helping with the firefighting efforts from volunteer firefighters and equipment from your local fire departments.

I appreciate your consideration.

Sincerely,

Robert

Recap of Club Assembly March 3, 2026
If you missed our club assembly on March 3, 2026. President Aaron Tomita shared some major updates to the club and progress on club goals. Here is a recap of what was covered.
  • The Club of Board of Directors have made the decision to have transition Yolanda Hoffman, Executive Director out of her role by July 1, 2026. The decision was solely financial to ensure that our club financials can be sustainable moving forwards. Yolanda has blessed our club with her spirit and amazing contributions to our operations over the past half a decade and we couldn't be more grateful for her. She will be greatly missed. The Board thanks her for her incredible service-focused attitude she embodies as a Rotarian and friend of the club
  • For all admin related items moving forward please send it directly to our current President, Aaron Tomita (aaron.tomita@avior.com)
  • Reminder on Chair of the Day & Breakfast for Speakers. If you are chair of the day and responsible for booking a speaker please remember you are also responsible for covering the meal for the speaker. If you do not have a speaker for your assigned day, another Rotarian can find a speaker for you, but the assumption is that you will still cover that speaker's meal cost. Or you can swap days with another Rotarian
  • Annual membership dues will be due in June, be on the lookout for information about where to pay those in the coming months. $400/yr for dues, plus $150/yr for donations to our service fund. The service fund donations can be paid throughout the year where as the dues will be due in the month of June. For those under 40yrs old, dues are $200/yr
  • We are well on target to achieve our club goals for this year and achieve the Rotary Citation. We are still looking for help to have members contribute at least $500 to the RI Annual Fund and to put together more social and service activities for club members before the end of June
2025-26 Chair of the Day Schedule

We are sharing the Chair of the Day schedule for our weekly Omaha Morning Rotary meetings. This role includes welcoming the speaker, making introductions, and helping the meeting flow smoothly. Please review the schedule and note your assigned date. If you are not able to serve on your date, please arrange a swap with another member and notify the Program Committee.

Thank you for helping us keep our meetings organized, engaging, and a reflection of the strong fellowship in our club.

Congratulations to our Rotarians with Perfect Attendance

Message From Our President
Aaron Tomita

Good morning, and welcome to the Omaha Morning Rotary Club.

We are a community of professionals united by one simple belief β€” that we can do more together than apart. Each week we gather not just to share a meal, but to share ideas, build friendships, and take action on behalf of our community here in Omaha.

Service is at the core of everything we do. Whether through local projects or global initiatives, our members show up ready to make a difference. But just as important is the fellowship β€” the relationships built here last a lifetime.

If you're considering joining us, I'd love to have you at our table.

Aaron Tomita
President, 2025-2026
