Andrew McCarthy District Table & Tap

-A 100 year-old building in downtown Norfolk now offers food and drink.  

-District Table & Tap is located at 226 W. Norfolk Ave, formerly Skinny’s

-Bar owner is Andrew McCarthy and building owner is Dirk Petersen

-Redevelopment on building started over a year ago. 

-Pressed-tin ceilings now hang overhead, walls are exposed brick 

-Initially, they were only going to use one side, but eventually expanded to both sides.

-I&P Construction  were the general contractors on the project 

 

-McCarthy, a 2004 graduate of Norfolk Catholic High School, has experience in bartending and restaurant management, from previous employment through Big Red Keno.

-Mayor Josh Moenning, the Norfolk Area Chamber of Commerce and other area economic development people helped to bring his vision into reality.

-District Table & Tap will be open Monday - Sunday from 11 a.m. -1 a.m. and feature 23 beers on tap, including about 18 that are brewed in Nebraska

-Plans are in the works to have live music on Thurs, Friday, and Saturdays
