Hello Rotarians!!

What an incredible week for our club! We kicked things off with our first social evening event on Monday night, welcoming over 35 Rotarians and spouses. A HUGE thank you to Scott Haveman for organizing the evening and to Scott Kaufman, Manager of Buffalo Wild Wings, for hosting us. Scott’s generosity resulted in a $470 donation back to our club—thank you! Everyone had a great time mingling, networking, and enjoying each other’s company.

Saturday brought our much-anticipated Super Kids Day, and it would not have been possible without our amazing volunteers. A heartfelt THANK YOU to the following Rotarians and spouses who gave their time and energy:

Vickie Brown
Bill Jasman
John Allen
Paul Frost
Bruce & Lauren Jocks
Ed & Debbie Nykiel
Peter Poulos
Gloria Jabro
Rose Angela & Scott Gronda
Ray Yee
Mike Concessi
Dale & Barb Malzahn
Noel & Debbie Jackson
Ronnie Ruelle
Jean Wloszek
Matt & Jackie Hatty
Joanie Barnett

We truly could not have done this without you.

Saturday evening continued the fun at the Diamonds and Denim fundraiser, where many Rotarians proudly represented Trenton Rotary, including Scott & Rose Angela Gronda, Tom & Linda Dickman, Ronnie & Bill Ruelle, Larry & Cheryl Kearney, and Rob Bovitz.

We wrapped up the weekend on Sunday with our member engagement event, attending the Open Book Theatre followed by dinner at Mamacita’s. Thank you to Ray & Susan Yee, Jean & Ed Wloszek, Rose Angelo & Scott Gronda, Laurie & Joe Dixon, Larry & Cheryl Kearney, Joe & Mary Hoshaw, Matt & Jackie Hatty, Bill & Susan Borrows, and Ronnie for joining us. It was a wonderful evening of fellowship and fun!

Reminder: today’s meeting will be held at Tony Trattoria.

Thank you all for making this such a fantastic week to be a Rotarian!

YIR,
Ronnie

Super Kids Day

Super Kids Day 2026 was an absolute home run! 💥

Seeing the smiles on our little superheroes and princesses made every bit of planning worth it. From crafts and bingo to therapy dogs, cupcake decorating (and eating!), face painting, and nonstop fun—this day was all about creating joy and unforgettable memories for kids. Mission accomplished.

A HUGE thank you to the amazing businesses and organizations who helped make this day so special:
Downriver YMCA, DYPAC, Fun Services, Faith United Methodist Church, Hungry Howie’s – Trenton, JSP Dental, Meijer – Flat Rock, PNC Bank – Southgate, St. Paul Lutheran Church, Therapy Dogs, The Main Event, TEF, Trenton Police Department, Trenton Fire Department, Trenton Library, Trenton Interact Club, Trenton Rotary, and Walmart – Woodhaven.

Special thanks to First Merchants for providing lunch, DYPAC for providing the Super Heroes and Princesses and to Noel and Debbie Jackson for sponsoring Carey the Clown—what a hit!

Most of all, thank you to the Trenton Rotarians who volunteered their time and hearts to make Super Kids Day possible. This is Rotary at its very best.
