September 22, 2014

Hello, Rotarians!

September is New Generations Month and today we'll hear from Gabby Maciag, the president of the Trenton High School Interact Club.  She'll give us a preview of what she's got in store for the 2014/2015 year.  Interact is a key part of lighting up Rotary!

Thanks to Jean Wloszek for heading up the beverage stand at the Taste of Trenton and Somewhere in Time on Sunday!  It's a one-day event but many days go into the planning.  Well done, Jean!  It started off as a nice sunny day but the rain set in mid-day.  The crowd was steady and kept the group busy.  We stayed on until the end, a little muddy, but all in all, a good day.  Thanks to all those who volunteered: John Allen, Tom Dickman, Chuck Howey, Rick Williams, Bill Borrows, Jackie Doyle, Jim Zanglin, Bob Paulbeck, Stan Gruzdaitis, Ron & Carolyn Sheck, Sandy & Gary Mull, Jim Schropp, Jane Dunn and Rob Trombley!

Bill Jasman made his way to Brazil this weekend for his friendship visit with former exchange student, Gustavo.  We look forward to hearing about his trip when he comes back!

If you would like to sponsor the Murder Mystery event coming up on October 14th, please let Noel or myself know soon.  There are several opportunities at reasonable amounts!

Please remember this Thursday is the club golf outing at the Grosse Ile Country Club with dinner following that evening at John Howey's house.  Please let John Howey or John Martenson know if you're planning to golf or attend dinner or do both!

Have a great day!
