Hi Amazing Rotarians!!
Wow! What a fabulous, Rockin the "D" event Saturday night! Thanks to all the hard work from the Committee that makes the magic happen, each and every time! Personally, I had so much fun! Everyone seemed to have fun, enjoy the food, drink and music! I am certain we will have great results from all that hard work. Big thanks to all members who donated silent auction items, sponsorships, supported the Motown Moohah and other raffles, or bought tables or attended. It takes all of us, pulling together to make this event such a huge success, so "Thank You" !
Big, big News! We now have an official Rotaract Club! I received an email from Rotary International last week, notifying me that our application for the Rotaract certification is approved and complete. The Trenton Community Rotaract Club is real and coming together very nicely. Monday evening, March 6th at 7:00pm is a Rotaract meeting at Savannah's. Come by if you are able and offer your support. We are planning a joint evening meeting in early April, (instead of our noon meeting) with the Rotaract club to welcome them all into our Rotary family, award their Certificate of Organization and induct them. This will be a very important evening meeting and the start of bringing in younger members. Please make every attempt to attend, and I will give you more information as soon as I have it.
Last Monday evening, myself, Bob Howey, and Paulette Dillingham attended the Victory Gym Open House. I presented a check for $500 to the board members of Victory Gym. They were very excited to get our donation. We were very impressed with this new charity that exists to help veterans, military and first responders with a healthy based place to go and seek health, and support. It is a great place and I hope we continue to support them in any way. Stop by and check it out if you get a chance.
See you for lunch tomorrow!
