Community Service Update

Salvation Army Coat Drive

We had very short notice about the Salvation Army Coat Drive this year but we still did a great job!
Thank you Dale and Barb Malzahn, Ronnie Ruelle, Deb and Noel Jackson, & Paulette Dillingham for donating new and gently used coats. Trenton Rotary bought 24 coats with the $645 we earned from the Kohls Volunteer Program. We donated a total of 110 coats. Great job in helping our community,

Christmas Community Service Projects

For this Christmas season, we will be doing the following projects:
.  Salvation Army Angel Tree Gifts for children in need. We have allocated $500 from our funds for this event.
.  Adopt a family from Trenton Schools. The school will send us wish lists of what these children would like for Christmas.  We have allocated $500 from our funds for this project. Details will be coming soon and we will need a few volunteers to help.
.  Rotarians are welcome to drop off toys at our noon meetings to be donated to Salvation Army Angel Tree shop. We are doing gifts this year instead of gift cards.
.  If we are asked by Salvation Army to volunteer for set up or distribution of toys I will send a sign up sheet for that.
.  We are donating $500 to Goodfellows for toys for children in need.

Thank you to everyone for helping with these projects to make someone’s Christmas a better one

Wild Game Dinner

All . . . attached is the flyer for the 2023 Wild Game Dinner on December 2nd. You have all been incredibly generous in the past. This is the first of several e-mails so you may as well reply now! 😊 Much like chairing the event, if you want to get out of these sponsorships, please find a replacement. 😊

We can use auction items, as well!

It looks like all our major sponsors are returning and Braylon Edwards (former NFL and U of M wide receiver) is supposed to be an excellent speaker, so please help us fill the seats. Thanks for all you do for Rotary!!!!!!

Grazie,

Mark Angellotti

Beautiful News

The beauty to this week was witnessing one of our own, Joe Hoshaw Jr., being honored at the TEF event. Joe was entered into the TEF Wall Of Fame. Well-deserved Joe, we are so proud of you! Trenton Rotary showed up in a strong way. Tom Dickman, Rob Bovitz, Peter Poulos, Kathy Kane and Mike McCullough did an amazing job putting this event together with so many of our club attending, supporting and giving.

I hope this week you take time with your families, looking back, standing in the moment, and even looking into the future giving thanks for all the blessings that are behind and before you. I also hope that you look side by side, shoulder to shoulder with all those in Rotary, giving thanks for all the differences we are and we get to make to each and in each other.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
