Our speaker last week was Dr. Sawka who did a great job encouraging a plant based diet. I know I tried the 3 ingredient bean dish. It was delish and even Matt liked it and he's quite a carnivore!

Thanks to all who participated in the BJ's warehouse sign up/renewal! So far we have raised $210 for our happy dollar account!

It's the Year of ACTION H.E.R.O's., Support our District 6400 Governor Noel, Hands On Projects and Member engagement through Peace, Kindness and ACTION!

Paulette, our Community Chair is in ACTION trying to gather volunteers to process phone calls and gift selection for families at the Salvation Army please contact her to find out how to help this month! 734-558-5568.

Larry Kearney, our Salvation army bell ringing chair is in ACTION collecting volunteers for Dec. 11 & 12 please contact him to sign up today! 734-558-1615.

Fundraiser Update: Contact Jean or Matt to reserve your March Madness tickets today! They will sell out fast! $50 makes a great gift for Christmas that could be worth even more to your dear one! Especially fun for those who like to gamble. Already 40 sold!!

Hands On Projects- Paulette: Gift cards for Salvation Army teenagers. Now collecting for Christmas, due in Nov. Please sign up for the Salvation Army Holiday shop, there are many volunteer options if you can help, please drop off at Trib office Mon-Thurs. 9-3, Fri-9-12 or Colors by Kim 9am-8pm daily.

Laurie Dixon

I was born in Wyandotte and raised in Trenton, graduating from Trenton High School. I have been blessed with 4 sons and 1 daughter. My husband Joe has 3 sons, so we are a blended family with 8 amazing adult children! We also have 4 grandchildren. I spent 28 plus years in the financial services industry before moving home to Trenton in 2005. As a financial advisor, I have worked for several broker-dealers before joining my husband in our independent wealth management firm, Dixon & Associates. We also own Executive Office Suites, a small business
center in Trenton. When we bought Savannah’s, a fine dining restaurant in Trenton, I moved over as the General Manager. Owning the restaurant for over 5 years, we closed it this past January. After the covid shutdowns happened, I secured my real estate license and joined Carol Bollo & Associates as a realtor several months ago. My husband, Joe and I met 15 years ago and have been married for over 10 years. Joe is a long time member of Woodhaven/Brownstown Rotary, serving several times as past-president and treasurer. I joined Trenton Rotary 15 years ago and have served on the board for over 10 years, past president in 2016-2017. I also serve as the chairperson for the DDA of Trenton. We reside in Grosse Ile. Some of my hobbies are rock hunting (especially Petoskey stones), camping, gardening, decorating, estate sales, and traveling. Joe and I just returned from an amazing trip to Hawaii to visit my oldest son Michael, his wife and sons.

Salvation Army Christmas Project

The Salvation Army is asking if we have anyone who could volunteer to take registration calls from families in need of assistance this Christmas. December 2, 8, 9, 10. The time each day is 9-11 and 1-3.

5 volunteers are needed December 7-11, beginning at 9:00 am to help package toys for families to pick up.

5 volunteers needed December 14-18, starting 9:00 am, to assist in distributing to families driving in for their items. 2 volunteers needed to direct traffic in parking lot.

Salvation Army Angel Tree

Deadline for our gift cards is approaching!! December 4 is the last day I can pick up your gift cards to deliver to Salvation Army. We are collecting $20-$25 cards for teenagers in the Angel Tree assistance program. Any store a teen would like is great.
