It is with sadness that I reflect on the passing of two great Trenton Rotarians over our Rotary break. Chuck Howey and past president Brad O'Connor. These gentlemen served our club with their leadership, monetary donations and service throughout the years. It was a pleasure to know them both. We keep their families and friends in our prayers. We also lost a community friend and generous contributor and passionate writer to our Trenton Trib/Island Beacon family, Pat Andrews. She will also be greatly missed.
One of my goals for this year was to do a hands on project at a local nursing home. Because of covid restrictions we could not complete this goal, however I found myself in a personal situation with my Aunt who is now at the IHM long term care facility in Monroe, so stay tuned I have some ideas on how we can help there soon!
In these times with the various needs so great in our families and community, I am thankful for our Rotary Club and members who care and serve so deeply. As we go into this new year, I am grateful for your continued support and our efforts to help our community. Thank you for all you do for our club!
P.S. If we don't get at least 10 people for our virtual potluck signed up by Wed. we will cancel. So far we have 4 participants. Thanks!
YIR,
Kathy Kane
