President's Corner

Welcome, Rotarians—and welcome, Spring!

If you missed Saturday’s Spring Break Fundraiser, you missed one of the best events our club has ever hosted. The room was buzzing, the energy was contagious, and the laughter was nonstop. This incredible success didn’t happen by chance—it was the result of a dedicated team that worked tirelessly behind the scenes. Quite simply, this was an all-star committee.

A heartfelt thank you to:

  • Val Dzagulones, our decorating extraordinaire, who transformed the room into a vibrant, over-the-top masterpiece. And to her husband, Joe, who was by her side every step of the way—what a team!
  • Rose Angela Gronda, who expertly managed the budget while tracking raffle and event tickets—no small task.
  • Gloria Jabro, who organized the Beach Bag raffle, collecting and cataloging all the prizes.
  • Kathy Kane, who led marketing efforts ,managed social media, created the program, and even hosted a lively (and memorable!) “Wet T-Shirt Contest.”
  • Matt Hatty, who secured and managed the raffle license and handled all AV needs for the event.
  • Vicky Brown, who worked tirelessly to gather sponsorships, gift cards, and baskets—and showcased her hidden talent for beautifully assembling them.
  • Ed Nykiel, whose relentless efforts brought in sponsorships, including several new donors.
  • Ed and Dawn Neubecker, who created the stunning “Wagon of Cheer,” valued at over $1,000.
  • Mike Concessi, who gathered gift cards and certificates and donated the giant inflatable rubber ducky—an instant hit! In addition, he was the dessert delivery person, which was a huge help!
  • Bill Jasman, who contributed gift cards and a boatload of rubber duckies that added a fun touch to every table.
  • Jessica Bazner, who brought and set up the photo booth, right before going to her birthday dinner and made our jerseys stand out with her mannequins.
  • Wes Mator, who suggested the theme "Spring Break", which turned out to be a hit and was also a major sponsor.
  • Jean Wloszek, our incredible co-chair, who worked around the clock managing sponsorship tracking, volunteer schedules, troubleshooting, and even my early morning and late-night texts.
  • A special thank you to Noel and Debbie Jackson, whose generosity as major donors—through gift baskets and certificates—made a tremendous impact.

And of course, the highlight of the night—Jackie Hatty and her team. Once again, the games were a huge success, full of energy, laughter, and friendly competition. From surfing to gummy worm challenges, the excitement was undeniable. This was truly the talk of the night!

To our sponsors, donors, volunteers, Rotarians, and friends of Rotary—thank you. Your support, generosity, and enthusiasm made this event unforgettable. It truly takes a village, and I’m proud to be part of this one.

YIR,

Ronnie
