This club is certainly walking about carefully, but getting around town and still making a difference this week!
Wow! The 6:01 Last chance outing was fantastic! And the group raised over $7,000 for the general fund, way to go team Rotary! A special thanks to Alec Tostige for his leadership and all the efforts of the rest of the group Alyssa Angellotti,, Jim Bazner, Brett Maciag, Gianni DiPoce, Scott Haveman and Sean McNally!
Delivery of Salvation Army STEM toys for Christmas was also a success! Thanks again to Paulette Dilligham and Bill Jasman for shopping! We delivered another $1,500 in toys for the Christmas shop. Paulette will also be sending out invitations to help people select their Christmas gifts and also is looking for gift cards for teenagers.
We welcome our Home Town H.E.R.O. , District 6400 Governor Noel Jackson for his official visit Monday Oct. 19! We are excited to hear what he has to say!
It's the Year of ACTION H.E.R.O's., Support our District 6400 Governor Noel, Hands On Projects and Member engagement through Peace, Kindness and ACTION!

I was born and raised in Wyandotte and I'm half Italian and half Sicilian. Most would say 100% Italian but those of us of Italian descent know that there is a big difference between the two! Anyway, you can say I'm 100% Italian. My dad was born in Italy and had many interesting stories from growing up in Italy during WWII. My mom was born in Wyandotte to my immigrant grandparents from Sicily. I think as we grow older, we appreciate our heritage more and more.
I graduated from Roosevelt High School -- Go Bears! I was a cheerleader and on the homecoming court. And on student council...and in the WAAC class (a student exchange program) and played softball...and you can see the trend starting where I learned to sign up for everything....early signs of a Rotarian!
I got my accounting degree at the University of Michigan - Dearborn -- Go Blue! My deep dark secret is that I attended Michigan State University for the my first semester of college and came home because I was homesick! I could be a Spartan right now...yikes!
I am married to my wonderful husband, Scott and between us, we have two daughters, Sarah (married to Nick) and Laura, two sons, Jordan and Dylan, and one granddaughter, Mabel! One of my most favorite roles is being "Grandma Rose"! Laura is dating a young man who just graduated from the Naval Academy, Ethan, and things are looking pretty serious so we'll see what happens there.
I joined Rotary in 2004 and Lynn Nolan was my sponsor. We worked together at Charter Bank and then Monroe Bank & Trust. I was president of Trenton Rotary in 2014/2015 (even though Ronnie said that was her year in last week's bulletin---she was 2013/2014...I know because I followed her around all year!). I fully enjoyed my year as president and to any of you that are apprehensive about becoming president, I highly recommend it! -- Go Rotary!
