The end is near for my year, so I do not have a lot of thing going on now. The only thing on my calendar for this coming week is the showing of the documentary "Poverty Inc", to be shown at the Prechter Aus. at the WCCC Downriver Wed. 13 June.  Also, I'll be having the last board meeting this Thursday evening, so as not to conflict with the Installation Dinner.

March Meeting Minutes

•        Howey funds- $5,000 for Nicaragua Mission per John Howey. Discussed handling of funds and Kim to provide a statement of balance to make sure we have all accounted for in this pass thru account. Motion by Mark A. 2^nd- Matt H. and approved
•        Nicaragua Mission- $1500 request from Richard Nykiel for supplies and to help others pay for travel expenses. Discussed Laurie D. motioned Kim M.-2^nd-discussion and motion approved
•        Shred Day $300 per truck as split with Civic Commission for 2 trucks- total $600 May 12^th.Matt H- motioned, Laurie D. 2^nd. Discussed and motioned passed
•        Trenton Parks and Rec Summer Series- $1500 ($500/mo) for signage, eblasts, facebook posts. Discussed Mark A. motioned, Laurie D. -2^nd Motion passed.
•        Dan Leiter sabbatical from board John will confirm details in writing what this means
•        Open Book requested $500 for yearly sponsorship of community theatre as a 501c3, Kathy motioned, Kim M- 2^nd, discussed, voted resulted in one yes and one no, motion tabled. 

•        Rockin the D netted about $19,000
•        Festival Beer Tent- Mike C. said it wasn’t in on time we did not get this year, Trenton Baseball did.
•        Wes Mator requested that we consider a new podium and sign for the group, Trenton Woodshop  and supplies have been ordered.
•        Dues/Lunch committee- Kathy K, Matt H and Paulette will have a survey for members to get board approval and then present at an April meeting. Results will be weighed at May board meeting and we will make a board decision by June meeting for dues/lunch changes. 

•        Matt H. will have Devankar speak for a WSU Peace in the streets Rotaract event coming up soon.
•        Mark A. going to PETS and will set up a strategic plan meeting soon
•        New member Angela Tank will wait to order any items until she attends for a third time, still waiting on Darren to join though we bought his badge, ect.
