President Elect's Corner
 
 
Greetings Fellow Rotarians,
 
Happy Father’s Day to all of the Father’s out there. Hopefully you enjoyed your day as much as I did, surrounded by family and friends.
 
Our Monday afternoon meeting was lively as we welcomed several Castignola Scholarship winners and a few other from our members and the TBA. Thank you Laurie, Kim and Ron for making the road for these young people just a little bit smoother. The evening club welcomed Joanne Gonyea who gave a brief overview of Iron Bell Trail and our bike system overall. Trenton has a lot to look forward to as local and Federal funds are applied to our area. Keep your eyes and ears open for details on the B-ball and BBQ event at Rotary Park. Mark your calendar for September 14th.   On Thursday Paul and the Roar committee continued their work. It is imperative I ask you all do help in some small way as we do our best to make sure this Roar is something to be proud of. This is a Rotary community service event so as Rotarians we need to do our part.
 
Next week is the annual Rep Pop night in Harrow. We currently have 8 people and would love to have at least a couple more. Let’s do Noel proud and make a good showing. Planning also continues for the Installation Dinner. We have over 80 people signed up already! Make sure to RSVP to me if you have not already. Let’s close out this Rotary year and give Matt a great start!

Expenditure Requests:
Motion made by Matt Hatty to provide $1000 to support Kim Spirou’s grant for Accra Ghana /2nd by Paulette Dillingham. Motion Approved.
 
Matt has Decided on a Literacy Project of Reading to the Schools.  Matt Hatty Motioned that we fund this literacy project up to $1500/2nd by Motion Approved
 
The second half of year donation to the Rotary Foundation is due.  Matt Hatty Motioned to fund the donation with $4300 to be donated for members/2nd by Bill Jasman Approved
 
Matt Hatty motioned that we reimburse the President Mark Angellotti for his conference expenses/2nd by Kim Mott.  Approved
 
Matt Hatty motioned that the club cover the cost of Meet the Governor in Harrow at $35 per person/2nd by Bill Jasman.  Approved.
