Secretary's Corner

Hello Trenton Rotarians!

Your Trenton Rotary Club Board of Directors met Thursday, March 16th at 7:00 a.m. at Mom’s Restaurant.  Here’s the scoop:

Your Board approved the following expenditure requests:
a)  The board approved a donation of $375.00 to the City of Trenton for half the cost of the truck used at Shred Day.
b)   We approved a donation of $500.00 to the Nicaragua Medical/Dental Mission.
c)  The board approved up to $150.00 for any expenses incurred for Reading With Characters.
 d)  We approved covering the cost of up to two Rotaract members to attend the District Conference FOR THIS YEAR ONLY.
e)  The board approved the distribution of the proceeds from the Wild Game Dinner as follows:  $7,000.00 to the Jack Castignola Scholarship Fund, $7,000.00 to the Tom Schumate Endowment for the Arts, and $6,206.00 to the Heroes and Angels Fund.
The following new business was discussed:
a) The board approved changing the requirements for new membership to be the attendance of three meetings, or the attendance of two meetings and a Rotary event within a 60 day period.  The issuance of the 10-Day Letter will still be required.
b)  The board sadly accepted the resignation of Sia Dimopoulos (of Mom’s Restaurant in Trenton) from our club.
