Hello Trenton Rotarians!
 
As the 2017 projects start heating up, remember that being involved in the organization, planning and operation of a Rotary project can be used as a make-up for a missed meeting.  I would appreciate it if the chairperson of the project would forward the participating members to me so I can mark the make-ups.  However, if you want to make sure that you get credit for a make-up, just send me an email indicating your role in the execution of the project.
 
News From The Board:
Your Board approved the following expenditure request:
a)The board approved a donation of $250.00 to the Rotary Club of Detroit for support of members with catastrophic circumstances.  This donation was prompted by the tragic auto accident involving Detroit Rotarian Steve Durant which killed his daughter and put he and his wife in the hospital.
 
Kimberly Mott has replaced Mike Doyle as Assistant Treasurer of the club.  Mike had to resign from his position due to new job obligations.
 
Our Global Grant for the Debreherhan Health Center in Ethiopia has been approved.

  • The Wild Game Dinner is Saturday January 28 at The Grosse Ile Golf & Country Club.

Greetings Trenton Rotarians!

To start my week, Wednesday evening I attended the District President's Mid-year meeting at Baker College. Noel was there also and we sang Happy Birthday to him!

We gathered early Saturday morning for our 4th annual Kids Against Hunger program at Trenton High. This year we invited the Woodhaven-Brownstown club and their new Interact Club to participate assembling meals! We had approximately 90 students and 20 adults working hard to pack 10,000 meals!  We will have samples at our meeting of the food we bagged!

This coming weekend, on Sat we have our first ever, Wild Game Dinner. Mark & Dennis have worked hard on this event! Make plans to come and help out!
