On July 28, Rose Angela and Scott graciously hosted a backyard cornhole tournament. The food was delicious, the games were competitive, and the laughter was endless. Special thanks to Rose Angela & Scott, Ed & Jean, Laurie & Joe, Joe & Mary, Matt & Jackie, Ed Nykiel, Kathy Kane, Pete Poulos, and Ronnie Ruelle for making it such a memorable evening. Congrats to Ed Wloszek & Kathy Kane, our tournament winners and to Joe and Laurie Dixon, runner up!
Happy Marvelous Monday!
Last week’s well-deserved recognition goes to Noel Jackson. For years, Noel has led international projects, most recently spearheading a team to Ghana focused on water wells and Days for Girls. On Wednesday, he delivered an inspiring presentation that captured the hearts and perspectives of many in attendance.
Thank you, Noel, for your vision, leadership, and dedication to international service.
Spring Break - Sunshine and Shenanigans
Our next Spring Break committee meeting is Tuesday, September 16th at Mom's at 6:30. Please let me know if you can make it. Everyone is welcome to attend. We are off to a great start!
Polio Fundaiser
A huge thank you to Kathy Kane for chairing our Polio Fundraiser. She is selling football squares for the Detroit Lions vs Kansas City Chiefs. Squares are $20. Prizes are $200 a quarter. The net will be $1,200 for the polio eradication campaign. Please consider purchasing a square and helping our cause. Kathy will be selling them at our Monday meeting. We will also have them available at the Howey picnic.
This Monday, I’ll be attending the District Governor’s golf outing. Spencer has lined up an excellent speaker from DTE who will be sharing an important update.
I’m also looking forward to the Howey Picnic on September 11th—I hope to see everyone there!
Don’t forget, we also have our next Board Meeting that morning at 7:00 a.m. at Mom’s.
With gratitude,
Ronnie
