Hello Fellow Rotarians!
I have so much to say and such a little space to do it in!!!
Welcome to a new Rotary year! I am honored to be your President and I thank you for your trust in me to lead the best Rotary Club in District 6400!!! I promise you - I’ll do the absolute best job I can to continue the great success and achievements the Trenton Rotary Club is known for. This year we will
“RECONNECT and CHARGE UP!”. Next week, I talk more about this theme and District Governor Aruna
Koushik’s theme of “Illuminating Hope”.
What a fabulous event our Installation dinner was! It was great to celebrate our accomplishments last year and recognize our members that received awards. I believe you can never give enough recognition, so here’s a recap of the individuals that were honored that night or earlier in the year: District Governor’s Hero award presented to Jean Wlsozek and Bill Jasman, Passport Hero Award presented to Bill Jasman for his participation in meetings all over the world, Council of Governors Award presented to Rose Angela Gronda, People of Action awards presented to Matt & Jackie Hatty, Mike Concessi, Ray Yee, and Laurie Dixon. In addition, the Rotary International Avenue of Service Award in Community Service was presented to Paulette Dillingham. Ronnie Ruelle was selected by Kathy as Rotarian of the Year! We had several Paul Harris recipients as well – Kathy Kane +2, Jim Zanglin +2, Paulette Dillingham +1, John Howey +3, Ronnie Ruelle +3, Kim Mott +2, Ray Yee +3, John Allen +2 and both Chris Sorensen and Gianni DiPoce received their first Paul Harris pins! Timber Baun was also recognized at a recent City Council meeting for her Paul Harris +1. It was thrilling to see that our club had another Arch Klumph recipient! Mike & Sherry McCullough were recognized and received that prestigious honor!! Congratulation to all!!!
I would also like to recognize and thank the following members for serving on the 21/22 board:
Bill Jasman - President Elect, Kim Mott – President Nominee, Ray Yee – Secretary, Jean Wlsozek -Treasurer, and Directors – Michael Concessi, Paulette Dillingham, Scott Haveman, Krista Schafer-Ewbanks, Dale Malzahn. We appreciate the guidance and advice of our Immediate Past President Kathy Kane and our Past President at Large Wes Mator.
Let’s have a BIG cheer to Ronnie Ruelle for the years she produced our weekly newsletter. She turned the reins over to Dennis Levko and we truly appreciate him for taking on that responsibility for our club.
And lastly, I want to thank Laurie Dixon for all the hard work she put in planning the very successful Chuck Howey and Jim Beebe Memorial Golf Outing! This was a collaborative effort with the Allen Park Rotary Club, and it was great to see so many turn out for the event. I’m hoping we’ll have some pictures to share with you next week.
YIR,
Valerie

Hello Fellow Rotarians!
This is the new Bulletin look...
Denny and Renee Levko recently had a photo shoot in Tennessee where the entire immediate family was present.
A couple months later there was a new addition to the family. Brooks Alexander Levko was born on 6/8/21. He arrived at 9 lbs. 13 oz. and 21" long. The exact same birth size as his daddy Brett.
