President's Corner

Greetings, Rotarians!

Welcome to the Sweet Year of Rotary!  What an exciting week it’s been!

Last week, we proudly awarded $2,500 to five deserving Trenton businesses as part of our Launch Trenton initiative. Congratulations to our recipients: Yellow Dog, Freckles and Grit, Roundhouse, Tony’s Trattoria, and Koi Sushi & Hibachi Steakhouse! We look forward to welcoming them back in six months for an update on their progress.

We were also thrilled to be joined by Perrine Maillet, our Rotary Youth Exchange student from 1996–1997. Perrine shared fond memories of her time in the U.S. and updated us on her life since then. A heartfelt thank-you to her host families: Paul & Mari Frost, Bruce & Lauren Jocks, and Ed & Debbie Nykiel—you made her experience truly unforgettable.

A big shoutout to our volunteers who lent a hand at Walmart last Thursday—Bill Dillingham, Mark Angellotti, Tom Dickman, Mike McCullough, and Wes Mator. Your support is appreciated! We’re covered for the next two weeks, but we still need help for distribution on July 26th—please consider stepping up.

Special congratulations to Rose Angela Gronda, last week’s Marvelous Monday award recipient! Rose Angelo worked closely with Truago to help make our club lunches more affordable. Thank you, Rose, for your initiative and commitment!

We also held our first board meeting last week, and I look forward to sharing updates at our Club Assembly next week.

See you all at noon!

Yours in Rotary,
Ronnie
