Trenton Rotary partners with High School entrepreneurs

On Tuesday evening, May 18, Trenton Rotarians and local business leaders Mark Angellotti, Mike McCullough, Dr. Noel Jackson, Kim Mott, Wes Mator, and Chris Sorensen were invited to participate on a judging panel at Trenton High School. At the beginning of the trimester, Trenton Business teacher Chris Crews' Entrepreneurship class was challenged to come up with a unique business idea, complete with a Business Plan along with the required financing. At the end of the trimester the teams made their presentations to the class. Eventually, the top 3 teams were selected to go head-to-head "Shark Tank" style on Tuesday evening in the High School Auditorium in front of our judging panel for the grand prize of $100. Each team had 5 mins to present their Business Plan including a Marketing Plan, Financial projections, Customer Research, and finally, a pitch to us - the potential investors. The judges scored each team individually, and even though no actual money was exchanged, we selected the best idea where we thought we might invest. The winner, Bambino Bundle, is a business that makes and sells infant swaddling wear that enables a parent to gently hold a baby still while they are diapered. The voting was very, very close, and all the teams deserve recognition and congratulations. Well done future Trenton entrepreneurs!
