Member Engagement Update

by Ronnie Ruelle

Our next member engagement is October 2 for our Monday meet up at Mamacita's Mod Mex on Jefferson.  Hope to see you there!

District Governor's Golf Outing

Bill Borrows, Joe McCormick, Rose Angela Gronda and Bill Jasman represented the Trenton Rotary at the District Governor's Golf Outing.  Pictured here with DG Russ Jones

Kim Mott, Bill Borrows and Bill Jasman enjoy dinner.

This is a DYPAC alumni, Yousef Fadel who is part of Scott Galeski (who spoke at Rotary about his Detroit Downriver Film Consortium for at risk youth and to which Trenton Rotary donated) at his award ceremony. So very uplifting!

Foundation Dinner Event

--Come to the Foundation Dinner Event $75 per ticket.  Includes Dinner, Open Bar and great fellowship
--Spend $75 for a ticket and round it up (to$100)  with $25 donation straight to the foundation
--Spend $75 for a ticket and add $100 to be a sustaining member
--Spend $75 for a ticket and add $1,000 to become a Paul Harris Fellow.  (please donate the money thru TRF    and then send me a copy of your donation receipt so we know to recognize you)
--You may also purchase a table of 8 and get recognition in our Program booklet for the event for $800
--Spend $75 and add the difference to your next level of giving to achieve that milestone.  If you’re not sure what that amount is, please contact Sue Goldsen sue@goldsen.com.  To make your contribution, click this link: account at https://www.rotary.org/en/donate.  You can also view your donor history by logging into your “My Rotary” account and clicking on "Foundation Reports."  If your gift puts you into any new Donor Recognition Level, your commitment to the success of the Rotary Foundation will be recognized during that dinner.  Click here for more details on Rotary Foundation Recognition Levels.
Whether you do or not, we are trying to kick our giving to the Rotary Foundation’s annual fund to the next level.   If you would make a contribution to the Foundation to get to your next milestone, it would be a huge help in attaining our goal, and you will be recognized at the dinner!
Alternatively, you can either contact your club's Rotary Foundation chair, or reply to this email with your best contact phone number and I'll reach out to you to help make your contribution.  To purchase tickets to our Foundation Dinner, just CLICK HERE!

Beautiful News
We have now tucked Summer away and a new season has begun. Fall has many opportunities that come with it. My hope is you find joy in the season as the leaves change, nights cool off even more and you get to snuggle up with your family & friends, enjoy activates and serve where needed.
This last week we had our Governors Golf Outing that took place at the Gross Ile Golf and Country Club We had one 4-person team from our club that played, and I was able to join them for dinner that night.  It was great seeing Russ Jones and speak briefly with him.

We also had our board meeting on Wednesday at Mom’s kitchen. We had a great turn out for that and accomplished a few great things in a record amount of time.
  • Donated to our local Trenton Cub Scout pack #1730 for $250
  • Sponsored the Step up 10K Swim for $1000
  • Sponsored the Banner Project in Downtown Trenton for $400
  • Sponsored the Downriver Prayer Breakfast for $300 that will come with 4 tickets for that event.
  • We are still looking into the Zoom in the Box so we can run our online Monday meetings with just a push of a button. The cost is still a bit high, and it will be from the Club account, so we are trying to keep that cost down and looking at other options.
  • World Polio Day is coming in October. We are working on a project to bring more Polio awareness. I’ll keep you updated on that.
  • Devan Rucker from the 6:01 will be helping us with social media content. His hope is to do interviews with new and current members and post weekly J
  • Paulette Dillingham has volunteered, once again, to help us with reaching out to members and their families when they have had a life changing experience, sickness, injury, surgery, congratulation, or recognition with a card from our club.  Thank you Paulette for all you do.

We will be having our regular meeting this Monday at the Westfield Center but the 6:01 will be cancelling the evening meeting.

Honk Your Horn Monday Moment is going to…. Bill Jasman for all his sacrifice of his time and space for our Walmart project.  Thank you Bill for over a year’s worth of storage and an extreme amount of time and sacrifice.  We couldn’t have made it this far with this project without it.

“We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.”
Winston Churchill

Serving beautifully beside you,
Kimberly Mott
Trenton Rotary Club President

Our speaker last week was Theresa Bizoe, Director at First Step
