My life revolves around my Faith, my Family and my Work.
I was born and raised in Rockwood and have been a parishioner of St. Mary, Our Lady of The Annunciation since birth :) I remember each Sunday going to Mass where my grandfather was an usher and then walking across the street to his home where my grandmother would fry eggs loaded with pepper. I recently became a lector and find an incredible closeness to God as I proclaim His Word to the congregation. My wife, Alicia, was also born and raised in Rockwood and has been a parishioner at St. Mary's since birth...where her grandfather was an usher! Crazy.
Alicia and I started dating way back when and we were married 7-26-2003. Most would say that I am an overachiever when it comes to love, so, I do whatever she asks, happily. We have been blessed with three very healthy, smart and beautiful daughters: Sienna Elizabeth(10), Alyvia Grace(8) & Gabriella (Ella) Bruehan(5). We have a fourth daughter, Nora James, on the way and we expect her on June 8th. Last year Alicia miscarried at 18 weeks and we lost a baby boy, James. Not a day goes by that we do not think of him and what could have been, but through that great suffering we have become strong in our faith and we know one day we will be with him in eternity.
Alicia works tirelessly as a wife and mother...she does it gracefully and we could not do it without her. Sienna is an excellent student and always has her nose in a book. Alyvia is also an excellent student, but she prefers athletics to reading...especially soccer. Ella is a drama queen, she loves the spotlight at her dance recitals. We all love spending time together.
My work is extremely important to me. I feel as though I was created to be an insurance advisor :) I have been in the insurance industry since 2004. I was an agency manager for my father-in-law's State Farm agency in Trenton. In 2012 I was hired by Farm Bureau Insurance of Michigan and have loved every moment. My agency is located in Woodhaven on Allen Rd across from the Emagine Movie Theatre. The challenges of running a business along with building a business have been very interesting, to say the least.
I help my clients protect what is most important to them: their family and their assets. I do this by providing great products, like Life, Annuity, Home, Auto, Umbrella, & Business Insurance. I believe in a hands-on approach to insurance and like to keep in touch with my clients throughout the year...we do this with an annual review.
I love to learn and share my oldest daughter's passion for reading. I also love to stay active and music. I am a terrible dancer and singer, but that does not deter me from doing so...in the comfort of my home :)
At the #Jaipur Institute, admist all the colour and dazzle, glitter, grace & glamour, RI President struck a serious note at the outset by presenting his half yearly report that detailed a serious dent in RI spends, and warned Governors to be timely in submitting their accounts.
After his nomination and acceptance, once things began to sink in, he realised that "unlike politicians I'd have to deliver on the promises I had made-meritocracy in appointments, cutting costs and adding value to #Rotary membership." The good news is that from last year itself he started cutting costs. "As President-elect I came in almost $200,000 below budget. So I can now ask others to cut costs too."
