First, a shout out to Matt Hatty for so graciously filling in for me last Monday. Thank you Matt.
We are gearing up for a busy week. Monday night at 6:00 we will continue preparing for our two primary fundraisers. We will be meeting at Mom’s for any members who would like to get involved. Tuesday morning we will have a smaller and more focused group working to develop long term guidelines for our various funds and foundations. See me if you would like to play a part or have a suggestion. Wednesday night we have a small group who will represent our club at the District Foundation Dinner. Thank you to all who are assisting in pulling our club forward.
Keep in mind next Monday night is the Fireside Chat at Tom Dickman’s house. This will be a great opportunity for our afternoon and evening groups to meet for some fun and fellowship. Our club roster has gained several new members, it is all of our jobs to engage them and the Fireside Chat is the perfect place. Hope to see you there.

I wanted to take the time to invite everyone to our biggest Rotary fundraiser of the year. Enclosed is a flyer with all of the details, but I will highlight a few below.
I am a Board Member of Trenton Rotary and the Chairman for this event. Our committee and Rotary Club are working diligently to make this night a huge success for all. Even if you aren’t a hunter, you will enjoy this night.
We are excited to announce that former Detroit Tiger pitcher Dave Rozema is our guest speaker and will also do a Q&A session after speaking. He is an absolute riot and should be a lot of fun at this event.
The spread of food is always delicious and will include perch, walleye and alligator in addition to the wild game (roasted pig, moose, deer, duck, goose, etc.).
Unlimited draft beer, white wine and Labatt Blue bottles are included in the ticket price. (We are still in the process of negotiating with Crystal Gardens to have Jack Daniels included also)
There will be multiple gun raffles, sports memorabilia and many more non-hunting raffle items to bid on/win.
Most importantly, ALL of the money raised goes to local charity. Our newest recipient of some of the funds is the Victory Gym located in Brownstown. They are dedicated volunteers who work with our war veterans (Heroes) returning from combat/service and help them get their lives back on track. In addition to a weight training area, a woodworking shop, and much needed camaraderie, they offer special assistance with finding them a job, home, funding, and most importantly, dealing with PTSD. This is an organization that means a tremendous amount to us is why we have added them to our list of charities we fund.
If you are looking for a great time and want to help people that are less fortunate, grab some friends, buy a ticket or a table and help us raise money for those in need. Maybe invite some employees who deserve a holiday bonus. Also, please distribute this to your friends and anyone else who may want to help out or attend.
If you are so inclined, sponsorships are available as noted in the flyer. They go a long way in making this event a success, and your company will be recognized in multiple ways during the program.

Salvation Army Volunteer Opportunities
The Salvation Army is in need of volunteers to work a two hour shift for any of the following dates to assist with registration of families in need for Christmas assistance :
Nov 13, 14, 15, 27, 28, 29. Shifts are 9:00 to 11:00 or 1:00 to 3:00.
Dec 4, 5, 6, 11, 12, 13. Same times
Toy shop assistants are needed to help families pick up their donated items on these dates:
Dec 17, 18, 19. Same times

Repurposing the McLouth Steel Property
Mayor Kyle Stack addressed the media last week at the "repurposing of the McLouth Steel Property".
Mayor Stack received a plaque in appreciation of her efforts.
Kathy Kane and Ronnie Ruelle attended the event with the Executive Board of the SWCRC.
Bill Jasman and Mike McCullough were in attendance.
Interact Update
The Interact club raised $167 at their car wash. The money will be used to ship our Operation Christmas boxes overseas. I will send pics from the packing meeting.
We are also sending two students to RYLA this year, November 15-17th at Schoolcraft College. Andrew Redli and Jenna Smith will be attending this year.
