The Detroit Rolling Pub brings a whole new experience to touring the City of Detroit.  You can legally bring your own bar!  Bring your favorite beverage and "pedal" this passenger bike while enjoying the sights and attractions of Detroit with fellow Rotarians!  We will also make a few stops at some of Detroit's best bars hosted by our guide Nick.  Tours are typically 2 hours.

We have reserved one rolling pub bike which will hold 15 individual people.  Sign-up will be at this Monday's meeting or call me at 734 558 5568 to reserve.

You must bring photo ID, beverages if you wish, and note that no glass is permitted. They provide cooler, guide and overhead storage.

We need to be at the Punch Bowl by 5:00 with departure at 5:30.  We can also plan a meet up at Westfield for people who want to carpool.

President’s Report for August 27th

Hello Trenton Rotarians.

It is nearly the end of the summer and we’re into the party season, ok fund raising, we are close to the “Great Tailgate Party”, the start of football, and all that jazz. We, are planning a members get together at one of the peddle pubs in Detroit, more to come.

We have received a very nice Thank you from the Taylor club for our support of the veterans that we in need. Your club is also supporting the Trenton Education Foundation, the Trenton High School Athletics, Christ Net, The Down River “Y”, The Guidance Ctr, Trenton elementary students w/supplies, the wildlife preserve pier, water projects in El Salvador a Trenton tree planting, plus school desks and books for a new school being built in Ethiopia. Whew, the board has been busy.  I think we are in need of the fun stuff.

Cheers,

John

One benefit of being the publisher of the newsletter is that taking pictures of  different events.  I had the opportunity to witness the making of the Goat Blue - Goat Green video.  What a great experience!!  Kathy, what an awesome job!!

The  video took place at Penrickton starting with a meeting with Kurt Sebaly, Kathy Kane and Rose Angela Gronda!

Discussing the details.

Oh, what a cute bunny!

The stars of the video have arrived.

This one gets the State Jersey

Wait.  He needs a hat.

I know!.  Attach it to his horns.

Time to get the camera ready.

Is it a surprise that Rose Angela favors the Blue Goat?

We need a football in the picture.

Now what do we do?

We can do this!

How do we get them together?

I know!!  We'll put some food in the football toy box.

It's working!  Time to shoot the video!

And it's a wrap!!
