Spring Break
We need your help!

Help Us Make "Get Your Beach Read On" A Big Success!
Do you have any page-turners catching dust on your shelves? We are collecting gently used hardcover books for our upcoming Spring Break Fundraiser, and we need your favorite "beach reads" to make it a success!
We are looking for captivating hardcovers that are perfect for vacation reading— think gripping thrillers, sweeping romances, historical fiction, and lighthearted mysteries.
How you can help:
  • What to donate: Clean, gently used hardcover fiction and non-fiction books suitable for vacation reading.
  • Where to drop off: Bring your donations to a Monday meeting.  Or call Debbie Nykiel at 734.306.7838 to arrange a pick up of large quantities.
  • When: We are accepting books from now until February 28th.
Gather your finished favorites this weekend and help us pack the shelves for a great cause. Thank you for your continued generosity and support!

PRESIDENT’S CORNER

Being president of our Trenton Rotary Club is, above all, an opportunity to serve. The position is not about a title or about one person having all the answers. It’s about helping members bring their ideas, energy, and commitment together in service to others. The president may help guide the work, but the strength of the Club comes from the people who make that work possible.

In our Club, that support makes serving as president much easier. There’s no need to carry every responsibility alone when members are willing to lend a hand, offer advice, and share in the work. Having people to turn to makes a difference, not only in getting things done, but also in approaching the role with confidence. What might otherwise feel like a demanding assignment becomes a rewarding opportunity to serve alongside others.

That shared effort is what makes our Club more than a collection of individuals. Each member has something to contribute, whether it’s an idea, time, practical experience, or a willingness to help wherever needed. No contribution has to be large to matter. When members share responsibilities, the work becomes lighter and the sense of fellowship grows stronger. Service becomes something we do together, rather than something we expect someone else to do for us.

Looking ahead, we need new members – members who have not served as president – to step up and volunteer to serve as future presidents.

Our Club’s future depends on members being willing to take a turn at leading, just as we share in the work of service. If you’ve considered serving but wondered whether you could manage the responsibility, remember – you wouldn’t be doing it alone! The same support that makes my role easier can help you, too…

Please consider putting your name forward or talking with me about what serving as president involves. Your willingness to take that next step can help keep our Club moving forward.

The best part of being president is knowing we’re not relying on one person to move the Club forward… we’re doing it together!
