Hello Rotarians,
Another great week for our club!
We kicked things off Monday with an excellent presentation from Mike Hawkins, who shared updates on the police department and the work being done in our community.
Tuesday night was our annual Cinco de Mayo celebration, and it was a fantastic evening filled with great food, fun, and fellowship. A HUGE thank you to Vicky Brown for the incredible desserts — they were a huge hit! Thank you as well to Ray Yee for the delicious refried beans and rice, Ed Neubecker for the cheese dip, Sarah Wright for the taco dip, and Bill Jasman for supplying the tasty beer.
A special thank you to Dale and Barb for arriving early to help set up, and to everyone who stayed to help clean up afterward. Your teamwork and willingness to pitch in are what make this club so special.
Following dinner, we wrapped up the evening with a friendly Euchre tournament. Congratulations to Tom Dickman for taking 1st place, and to Jean Wloszek and Cheryl Kearney for tying for 2nd place. Congratulations as well to Rose Angelo Gronda for winning the Euchre pot! The laughter, fellowship, and fun throughout the evening were a great reminder of what I love most about this club.
Don’t forget about the blood drive on Monday — there’s still time to sign up!
See everyone at tomorrow’s meeting.
YIR,
Ronnie
