Did you know that something as simple as ordering items from amazon.com can help Rotary International with their world-wide mission of Rotary Serving Humanity? For those of you that have an amazon.com account, if you sign-in at smile.amazon.com rather than www.amazon.com, you can designate The Rotary International Foundation as the recipient of donations made for orders placed. I’m not sure if all items ordered qualify for a donation, nor do I know how much is actually contributed per order. All I know is that a small donation made by millions of people can add up quickly. Wouldn’t it be something if ordering that toaster oven on-line atsmile.amazon.com could help make that final push to eradicate polio? If you do order from Amazon, please consider the switch and designate The Rotary International Foundation as your charity of choice. You can make a difference.

Welcome Trenton Rotarians and Guests!

We are looking forward to a Passport visit today from Rotary Club of Detroit! I was notified today that 4 members are coming for a visit, so be sure to make them welcome!

Our speaker today is Chris Sorenson for Cyber Security! That should be an interesting and timely presentation! Our caterer, Round House BBQ is knocking it out of the park with the wonderful meals we are enjoying!

Make sure you save the date, Wednesday, October 26th for our newest fundraiser, The Great Tailgate Event at Crystal Gardens. Shaping up to be huge and fun, fun, fun. It will get the rivalry between MSU & U of M to a fever pitch just days before they meet for the big game!

Hope to see everyone at today's meeting!

Yours in Rotary,

Laurie

284 permanent transit teams vaccinate children on the move around Afghanistan to make sure every child is immunized against polio, no matter where they live, where they come from or where they are going to. Here a car stops for the vaccination team so that children on board can get the life-saving polio vaccine
