President Elect's Corner
At the most recent Board Meeting, your Trenton Rotary Board of Directors approved the following expenditures:
1) $1,500.00 to the City of Trenton Department of Parks and Recreation for the Summer Concert Series (usually at the Trenton Cultural Center). These funds will be allocated from the Schumate Foundation since this is for promotion of the Arts.
2) $1,000.00 to Rotary District 6400 in support of the 2019 District Conference at Caesar's Windsor. This is the start of our build-up toward our own District Governor Nominee Noel Jackson's year.
3) $275.00 to the City of Trenton for an ad in The Buzz (the Trenton annual calendar of events distributed to every household in Trenton).
It is with great sadness that the Board of Directors has accepted the resignation of the Jane Trombley, effective February 10, 2019. If you see Jane, please let her know that she will be missed.
Another point of interest . . .
After much deliberation as well as conversations with several members, the Board of Directors has officially voted to make 2019 the final year that the Trenton Rotary Club will be the presenting sponsor of the ROAR on the River. Steps have been made by the Trenton Outboard Racing Club (TORC) and need to continue to be made by them, as well as our club, to assure a smooth transition into 2020. Let's all get together and make this year's ROAR the best ever!
Don't forget, Saturday, April 6, 2019 is the District Assembly for Rotary District 6400. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet other members in our District as well as learn more about the various aspects of Rotary. This information will give you new insight into Rotary, which will enhance your membership. It is important for members of the Board of Directors to go. It is also highly recommended for relatively new Rotarians. However, ALL Rotarians will benefit from this informational assembly.
Continue to "Be the Inspiration" and "Pursue the Dream" as you aspire to be a shining example of the motto "Service Above Self."

President's Corner
Greetings fellow Rotarians,
A huge thank you to Bill and Kyle for making the Family Fun Fair a big success. 190 kids and 200 adults were able to attend. Thank you to the 19 volunteers and the many sponsors. This was a great community service event that our members made happen by their care and concern for the families in our city.
This Saturday we we will have a little bit of adult fun as we entertain our members and guest at the Shamrockin’ on the River event. I am confident that there will be something for everyone as Kathy, Matt and the entire committee have put in a tremendous effort. Kick off the St. Patrick’s celebration early this year. Grab your tickets and come on down.
Looking ahead, it’s time to step up for another ‘all hands on deck’ effort. Please check in with Paul and Ronnie to see where you can help on the Roar. Keep in mind this is our last time as the organizing group so let’s go out with a big showing. We need to show any other organization how to do it right. Your help, no matter how big or small is what Rotary is all about! Thank you all in advance.
