TRIVIA NIGHT IS BACK!
Trivia Night is our next fellowship event coming up on Wednesday, January 22, 6:00, at Westfield Center. Get a team together or just come and we will put teams together at the event. Our last Trivia Night was lots of fun and lots of laughs for everyone. There is no charge to attend.
We will have homemade dinner by Ronnie Ruelle cooking sloppy joe's and Bill Jasman cooking turkey chili and there will also be a salad bar. If anyone would like to bring a dessert to pass feel free to do so. It will be a BYOB and we will provide cups, ice and wine bottle openers!
We hope everyone will join us! Spouses and significant others are welcome of course. Please contact Paulette at 734 558 5568 or sign up at the meeting. See you there!

Greetings Trenton Rotarians!
It was a nice and peaceful week for me in the Rotary world. Monday's meeting laid the groundwork for upcoming events. We also saw a presentation by Rick Nykiel regarding dental implants, which was very informative (and, at times, kind of gross). The Sham-Rockin' On The River committee met Tuesday evening to continue preparations for the upcoming event. Other than that, I spent my time organizing my schedule for the many upcoming meetings, projects and events. Thankfully I work with a tremendous group of Rotarians who can help me out whenever necessary.
As I just mentioned, work is being done to make sure that this year's Sham-Rockin' event is another success. We are receiving a LOT of interest in the event, with over 400 likes on FaceBook already. The committee is doing a great job organizing the auction items and activities for the night. Please let them know if you would like to help in any way.
The Children's Fun Fair will be held Saturday, February 22. Bill Jasman is looking for someone to co-chair the event with him. Please let him know if you can help.
I will soon be heading to my mid-year President's meeting (yea!), which means that it's time for me to start looking at the Hedke Award application. I have a good group of Trenton Rotarians willing to help me through the process. I will make sure that the District sees the quality of all that this club takes part in.
Join us this Monday, when we continue our look at vocations. Rotarian Rob Bovitz will speak to us regarding how he got into accounting and how CPAs serve the business community.
Enjoy the upcoming week. Continue to do the right thing and your actions will truly connect the world. Be living examples of the Rotary motto "Service Above Self."
Yours In Rotary,
Matt Hatty
President, The Rotary Club of Trenton, Michigan
In 2020, the Southern Wayne County Regional Chamber is honored to announce the Chamber's prestigious Women of Achievement Leadership Award to be named in memory of our dear friend, and the late Mayor of the City of Trenton, Kyle Stack. Kyle's tremendous impact on so many throughout Downriver was truly unique and special. Her policy and leadership helped to enhance and drive our local economy and provided great benefits for our region’s job providers and entrepreneurs. She was not only an amazing visionary, but a true leader who rolled up her sleeves, brought people together and accomplished great things. Kyle was a leader who showed us all love and great friendship. She always encouraged, and supported the Chamber’s programs, policy and initiatives. She fought for our region’s entrepreneurs, and provided for a strong and thriving partnership between government and business. Kyle Stack will forever be in the hearts of Downriver’s residents, entrepreneurs and job providers.
We are so grateful to Bill Jasman, Kyle's amazing husband for his tremendous friendship and continued support, and look forward to partnering with Bill to honor Kyle's legacy with the Kyle F. Stack Leadership Award to be presented to a brilliant Downriver businesswoman this October 16 at the Women of Achievement Awards presented by Beaumont. Nominate today! https://www.swcrc.com/eve…/2020-women-of-achievement-awards/
