Beautiful News
I just want to say how grateful I am for you all. Together we make a world of difference and I’m so happy to be a world changer alongside of you.
Monday will be my first assembly. That’s if Noel doesn’t have a speaker lined up, lol. I will be sharing what we have accomplished so far, as well as goals I’ve given us for the upcoming year.
To date we have passed through the board.
- Club to pay for lunches for Bob Curtis
- Digital Banner at Trenton High School-we are sponsoring 3 season $1000- FALL- Stadium-Natatorium WINTER- Natatorium-SPRING- Stadium / Baseball / Softball
- Schmooza Palooza -$20 to be a vendor at the Grecian Center gardens.
- Russ Jones has asked; Many of you club presidents have asked how your club and members can help with the human disaster in Hawaii. We supported sending $1000 to District 5000 for that relief
- TEF Signature Event-Friday, November 17, 2023 we are sponsoring $1000
- Storywalk for $100
- It’s in your jeans sponsorship for $250-2 tickets are still available for this event.
- Russ Jones Golf outing for up to $800
- We moved $15,000 of what was owed to the foundation from the club account.
- We sponsored the Slow Roll which was up to $500
- We voted to move Bill Jasman forward to the process of District Governor
Going forward we are looking for an answer to Zoom and we believe we have one thanks to Brendan Gillespie-This solution is called Zoom in a Box. The benefits are for ease of operation in which multiple people would be able to operate. It would be property of the Trenton Rotary Club and would allow our zoomers to continue to watch every Rotary meeting. The cost could be up to $800 including a Zoom account. WE are hoping that since it is a cost to the club account that we might have members within our club that would help support this needed solution.

Our “Honk Your Horn Monday Moment” goes to the Mike McCullough
A blast from the past…I love that what you gave in the past came back to encourage you today. We often do not get to see the impact we have made, but I’m thankful you have.
Dear Trenton Rotary members,
My name is Christophe Derouet. I'm the French exchange student who had the great opportunity to be hosted by the Trenton Rotary club in... 1989-1990.
If I remember correctly, Ana Meneses from Costa Rica and myself were the first exchange students to go to Trenton High School, as seniors.
On your website, I just found out that Mike McCullough was still involved as one of your club recruiters. Can you please say hi to him and to his wife and to Bill and Linda LeFevre if they are still involved?
I'm contacting you from France, where I live with my family, because my 16 year old daughter, Prune, is willing to spend a year abroad, in an English speaking country. She wants to become a pilot and, before going to college, learning a culture and a language is highly important to her.
I have contacted the Rotary Club of my new hometown but did not get much information from them. That's why I am contacting you to find out if youth exchange programs are still on and what are the conditions today to apply.
May you need any further information, please do not hesitate to contact me. I would be happy to get in contact again after so many years.
I am sending you the picture of my Yearbook just to make sure someone can recognize me and I'm also sending 2 others of my family today.
Hope to hear from you.
Best regards,
Christophe
