Happy Monday everyone,
It was another great Rotary week. Anna Howey’s presentation of her Rotaract experience was enlightening. Our club will be inviting other scholarship recipients to do the same. Our fellowship night on the peddle pub around Detroit could not have been more fun. Our guide was Tim Durand, the retired Mayor from Riverview who gave us a great tour with many interesting stories. He also donated his tip back to the next project for our club. Thanks to the entire group for all the laughs. Thursday night planning continued for our upcoming Euchre Tournament. Thanks to Paulette, Rose Angela, Kyle, Timber and all who helped. Two beautiful sunny days for the weekend didn’t hurt. Kim Fix from Huron-Clinton Metro parks will be this week’s speaker and Monday night is our second gathering of the Extension Club.

Bill Jasman talks about the Totes for Teachers
Tote for Teachers Update
All the materials have been ordered for the Totes for Teachers Project. This project honors President Mark’s wife Janet and her service as an Educator. We are still in need of funds to close the funding gap in the project. You can commit a $25 dollar donation, a $50 dollar donation or purchase a Tote for $70. Help will be needed on Wednesday, August 22nd for about 1 ½ hours. There will be a sign up for assembly at the Monday Noon and Monday Extension Club meetings. Delivery date to the teachers is still tentatively in late August. We will solicit for funds at the Rotary Club on Monday with a paper form. If you would like to email a pledge and have it added to your bill, please email: wjasman60@gmail.com. This is a vocational service project to recognize the efforts of all elementary teachers.
