Hello Fellow Rotarians!
What a whirlwind of excitement for our club and the district this week! I feel like I won the lottery! Our club came back with quite a few accolades including "Most volunteers logged" (thanks Bill Jasman!), "Most money donated to Polio this year, Passport Club award (thanks to those who visited so many other clubs this year on Zoom), the award for the Most Peace Chain Links Awards, Bill Jasman was awarded a District Service award, Congratulations! Also since we have never received an award for Hedke-Public Relations or a District award for Best Communications as long as I have been handling those areas for the club, it means so very much to me to have received those this year.
We also remembered those who have passed away in the many clubs this year, including our own Chuck Howey and Dan Leiter.
We all know we should have won the Hedke, but because of our membership numbers we just didn't make it. My sincere thanks to everyone who put in hours of work on the details for the awards and all the other wonderful things YOU did this year to make us a club of ACTION H.E.R.O's, I am so very thankful and humbled to serve this year!
Thank you to the volunteers for the COVID clinic this weekend and shred day, we appreciate you!
Val is getting geared up for her year starting in July with many new and exciting ideas for the club, please consider giving her a call to help out with one of her new initiatives!
We now have a hybrid meeting every Monday for those who have told us they would not attend a Zoom meeting. We meet at Noon at City Hall Council Chambers, we would LOVE to see you again in person and I think we finally have the tech worked out! It is quite a bit more work and time to do these hybrids for our members so we DO appreciate those who show up!
If you are not coming until we are able to do lunch, can you shoot me an email? We would like to gauge how many think this is very important to their membership when we are allowed to open up. Thank you!
