As you are cleaning out closets this fall, please set aside any gently used coats you may be getting rid of for the Salvation Army Coat Drive. They will be looking for gently used and new coats. When we get a date from them, we will let you know when to bring your coats to our Rotary meetings. Please hold on to any you may have right now.
Paracord Bracelet Making for deployed Military
Wednesday, October 16, 6:00 pm at the Westfield Center
Please join us in making paracord bracelets for our deployed military. Paracord bracelets are made of parachute cording that make them incredibly strong. They are used to do everything from tourniquets for someone bleeding, to lifting equipment and bodies and repairing materials The bracelets and clips we will be making can lift 1,000 pounds.
We will make these and send to active duty deployed military around the world with Christmas packages letting them know we appreciate them. A bracelet can make a difference in the life of the person using them. Our host will be Kathryn Jacek, Blue Star Mothers of America.
Please sign up if you would like to join us:
Trenton High School Interact Club will be joining us to assist in making the bracelets!

This week Kim Mott donated her new clothing from her Colors By Kim Boutique to the Downriver Community Conference Chrysalis Boutique located in their building in Southgate. The Chrysalis Boutique provides new and gently used career clothing and accessories to eligible low income women and men entering the workforce with a referral from a participating workforce development program, human services agency, or non-profit agency. The boutique is not open to the public.
Thanks to Kim for supporting!
