Greetings Rotarians!

Our upcoming Club Assembly, next Monday, August 22, 2016 is an important one.  We will vote on the future of our Roar on the River event.  I sent an email to our members on August 11, 2016 outlining the 3 best options the board of directors feel addresses the future of the Roar.  Please attend the meeting next Monday.  Time will be given for members to speak and voice their opinions.  A ballot will be given to each member present and voting will be private and confidential. Votes will be counted and the members' choice will be announced at the end of the meeting.  If you are unable to attend, please send me an email with your vote before Monday morning.

Our last board meeting was Thursday, August 18, 2016 at 7:00am at Mom's Restaurant.  We hope to publish the expenditures and motions passed after each board meeting to keep our members informed.

PDG Neil MacBeth did a great job at Monday's meeting, explaining the process of the Council on Legislation.

Please go online to redcrossblood.org and sign up to donate on our Blood Drive, at the Riverview donation center, 14031 Pennsylvania Rd Riverview, MI 48192.  August 30, 2016 1:00-7:00pm.  We are going to them since they do not have enough nurses to come to Westfield for our usual Blood Drive.

We all win when we participate. "Must be Present to Win" is such an appropriate theme for this exciting year of Rotary!

See you Monday!
Yours in Rotary,
Laurie Dixon
