Good Day Rotary Friends,

Despite the dropping temps our days continue to be filled with sunshine. As I get ready to head to the Purple Gang’s Hit on Polio fundraiser it is clear that Michigan, and Trenton specifically is a great place to live!

This past week our Wild Game Dinner committee kept their push on to ensure a successful event. Please make it a point to ask around for wild game and fish, encourage some fiends or perhaps a potential member to attend and consider sponsoring the event in some way. Remember we are shooting for 100% involvement on this one. This is a great club with many ways to get involved. We are always looking for help on committees and at events.

Last week we sent out 10 day letters for 7 new members. This week our membership committee meets again to get back on track with our Corporate Membership development. Looking down the road please consider attending the District Foundation and Membership dinner on November 7th. And a great chance to learn more about our organization. Hope to see you there.

Good afternoon fellow Rotarians and Happy Sunday.

As President Angellotti recently announced, we are scheduled for our annual Rotary bell ringing services for the Salvation Army on November 30th and December 1st.

I will have the signup schedules with me tomorrow at the luncheon meeting.  If you are unable to attend the meeting but have a desire to help us out feel free to call me at 734-676-3807 to arrange an appointed time to help with this project.

Enjoy this beautiful Sunday and see you all tomorrow.

Host a viewing party....

Gather your club and community together to watch this year’s World Polio Day event. We’ll be streaming live from the College of Physicians in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA, starting at 18:30 Philadelphia time (UTC-04:00). Join us as global health leaders and celebrity ambassadors share our progress to end polio, and recognize the 30th anniversary of the formation of the Global Polio Eradication Initiative.

It was in Philadelphia, during the 1988 Rotary Convention, when Rotary announced it had raised what amounted to $247 million for the eradication of polio — twice its original fundraising goal. This success showed Rotary’s strength as an organization that could — and will — end a global disease.
