Hello! My name is Alexander ‘Alec’ Tostige. I was born and raised in Trenton, Michigan and graduated from THS in 2011. After High School, I attended the University of Michigan-Dearborn where I received my bachelor’s degree in Urban & Regional Studies with a fundamental focus in Environment, Design, and Space. I also received a Minor in Business and two certifications in Geographic Information Systems (GIS).

I work for Henkels & McCoy, an engineering and construction company, as The Enterprise GIS Manager. The primary project I am involved in is a 5G expansion project throughout five major U.S. cities for a major Telecommunication company. I specialize in deploying ESRI based solutions for our company that help track, manage, and simplify company objectives.

Last year on November 9, 2019 I married my wife, Robin Tostige. Robin is a flight attendant for Delta Air Lines. We met on a plane on New Year’s Day in 2016 and have been together ever since. Today we live in Brownstown Township with our cat, Poppy.

I like to spend time with my friends and family, traveling with my wife, and going up north to Leelanau and Petoskey. I also really enjoy cooking, exercising, gaming, and golfing.

I joined Rotary with the intent to become more involved in my community. This year has been especially challenging with COVID-19, though I see great potential and fresh ideas from our Evening group to achieve positive results within our club.
