My Rotary Brothers and Sisters,
The Month of July is always dedicated to the work surrounding the Roar. Paul Jocks is considered Superman among the racing community and as President I had a front row seat to his heroics. Paul’s passion is contagious, his leadership of the committee and the way he represents our club is something we can all be proud of. Plans are already underway for next year with some very interesting opportunities. Thank you Paul. And thank you to Bruce Jocks for hosting the wrap up dinner for the committee. Very well done.
We also had a great first meeting of the combined Fundraising and Fellowship Committee. Keep your eyes open for the dates of the Wild Game Dinner, an upcoming euchre tournament and our yet to be named Mid-Winter fundraiser. Thanks to Dennis for his leadership and the many people who are ready and willing to help.
And finally, have you told anyone/everyone about the one night per month extension club? We meet again on August 13th. I have spoken to Windsor 1918 and we seem to be doing a lot of similar things. So much for our ‘original’ idea but the good news is we have a great source of knowledge and experience to tap. Make sure you spread the word and if you are so inclined please come to Truago at 6:00 next Monday!
