President's Corner

Greetings, Rotarians!

Welcome to another exciting week in this Sweet Year of Rotary!

Last week, we had the pleasure of hearing from Colleen from the Guidance Center, who shared insights about Treatment Foster Care Oregon and the importance of raising community awareness around it. Thank you, Colleen, for your powerful and informative presentation.

A huge thank-you goes out to Bob and Kathy Paulbeck for organizing an incredible Walking Tour of Downtown Detroit!  Eleven Rotarians joined in the fun—Debbie & Ed Nykiel, Paul & Mari Frost, Jean Wloszek, Gloria Jabro, Noel Jackson, Ronnie & Gemma, and of course, our guides Bob & Kathy. We explored iconic sites like the Renaissance Center, Millender Center, Hart Plaza, the Martin Luther King Jr. statue, Campus Martius, and the Guardian Building. The evening ended with great conversation and dinner at Applebee’s. Thanks again for leading such a memorable adventure!

We also showed our Rotary spirit by cheering on the riders at the Wounded America Ride. Special thanks to Jean Wloszek and Gloria Jabro for spearheading this effort. We were joined by a great group of Rotarians, including Bill Kaiser, Molly Tamsen, Mao Huang, Mike McCullough, Rose Angela Gronda, Bruce Jocks, Mark Angellotti and Jean & Ed Wloszek. Your time and energy are truly appreciated!

Finally, don’t miss today’s Club Assembly—our first of the year! We’ll hear updates from many of our committee chairs and learn about the exciting plans in store for our club. Be sure to join us and stay connected.

See you at noon!

Ronnie
